Shaz agrees to meet suspected murderer in pub posing as single divorcee

Team are at Luigi's celebrating. Gene Congratulates Shaz and says she'll be in CID before Xmas. Shaz agrees to stay in Force. Keats talks with Alex, says he's aware she's asked for info on Sam Tyler.

At Luigi's during celebrations, owner of dating agency comes in and thanks Gene, then gives him a passionate kiss, and gives him her card!

At Luigi's. Gene speaks with Alex and tells her what a good team they make, but warns her off DCI Jim Keats. Image of shot police officer standing in desolate spot, then end credits.

Shaz decides to stay in the force because Gene has convinced her she is on the fast-track to CID. The background fades to black, foreshadowing something.
