Opening scenes.

After they get back home from the meeting, Frances finds her mother doing needlepoint in the living room and angrily asks her why she made them leave & how she knew where they were.

Lawrence proposes to Frances under a tree at a garden party

Frances goes to another suffragette meeting and talks with the leader Alice about feeling trapped by her family; the police raid the house and arrest all the participants.

First when Frances hugs Philippa after she decides to stand up to her parents; also at the very beginning of the scene when Frances confronts her mother and declares her independence.

Frances and Philippa go to the suffragette meeting and get found there by Frances’ mother Elizabeth who makes them leave.
