Finn sings to Angie showing her that it's okay for her to lay Vera down in his office then continues to sing as he makes his way down into the pit of the newsroom and stops when sees Patti.

The reporters, editors, and office heads attended a writers' luncheon with Bea.

The writers' luncheon continues. Bea tells Finn that he has six months to increase subscription to the magazine.

As they have dinner, Lenny tells Cindy about his day at work. She asks him about the laws of discrimination against women. He tells her the reason it was included in the law.

Jane arrives home, undresses, and dresses up for her date with Chad; Patti smokes a joint as she watches the late local news. A serene Finn surveys the newsroom. Doug leaves the Blank Panthers office.

Jane is annoyed by her neighbor's party and tells him so. He invites her in, but she declines and walks off. He asks her how early she has to be up which causes her to smile to herself.
