Meredith tries to stop Maggie and Alex from talking about Alex's trial as they arrive to work when they see a building collapse.

The landlord continues to ask for Warren's forgiveness when he crashes; Webber, Maggie & Stephanie work on Winnie when she crashes; Richard leaves the OR; Jo tells Alex the truth about her past.

Maggie & Richard deliver the bad new to Winnie's parents; Alex lost in a reverie after Jo's confession to him leaves to talk with Meredith; Riggs and Owen discuss Owen's previous marriage.

Alex tells Miranda about Jo's situation; City montage; Alex comes to tell Meredith his plan to take the plea bargain which she tries to talk him out of but he insists its the right thing to do.

Jo tells Andrew that she told Alex about her past; Alex waits to talk with the DA when Meredith calls him to give him a pep talk; Amelia leaves Owen a goodbye letter; Richard rally's the staff.

As Meredith scrubs in, alex tells her he’s taking the plea deal tonight and says goodbye.

Richard and Maggie work to save their patient; Richard stands outside the OR after losing his patient; Jo gets in an elevator with Alex.

Alex tells Meredith he plans to take the plea deal, then Meredith argues for him to reconsider.
