(Nine months earlier) Alex jogs then returns on home, dresses and packs for her trip.    

Alex & Ryan toast; Shelby surveys her family house then leaves; Eric says goodbye to his church; Simon meets up with Max for a quick photo session; Nimah makes a quick change of her clothes and car.  

(Day 1) The NATs unpack in their dorm rooms at the Academy; Ryan & Simon bond over coffee; Alex helps Shelby with her bed; Caleb figures out that Eric is Mormon; Simon & Eric bond over Malawi.

(Day 2) The NATs wake up and get ready for their day, Alex & Ryan catch sight of each other he heads into the bathroom; Eric debates looking at his pack when Caleb returns; Shelby & Simon ogle Caleb. 

The NATs participate in their first qualification test; (present day) Alex continues to be questioned; In-between activities the NATs investigate their chosen fellow trainee for their personal secret.

Miranda tells Alex to run after the van crashes; the police find the boot of the van empty; Alex escapes past the FBI dresses as FBI; overshot of Manhattan.
