Star - Season 1, Episode 9: Soundtracks

Cotton goes to Maggie to asks her for more hours at the club, Maggie tries to exchange a sexual favour for cash; Jahil saves Cotton from Maggie advances; Cotton tells Jahil that she quit her job at the shop and her escorting then ask if he knows where she can get a room.

Cotton and Elliot send the day together; Elliot asks Cottom some personal question then Cotton offers to stop hookie which he agrees with telling her that he wants her all to himself.

Simone sings the song Alex wrote; (flashback) Carlotta robs a convenience store then is arrested; Mary visits Carlotta in prison and questions why she commited armed robbery, Carlotta confesses she needed the money for an aboration; Carlotta gives birth to Cotton, the medical staff don't allow for her hold Cotton; Carlotta is released from prison years later, Mary and Cotton wait for her; Cotton cries; Carlotta sits outside in her car; Star makes Jahil choose between her and Eva, she chooses Star.

Eva practices a song, and Jahil watches.
