The Astronaut Wives Club - Season 1, Episode 5: Soundtracks

Two fans of Annie's introduce themselves, she finds herself unable to not stammer as she answers them; Rene introduces herself to Mr Butterfield and tells him she'd like write a column for newspaper.

Louise grabs food at the buffet table when Max comes over and comments her new hair style and thanks her holiday card when Marge comes over and asks about Max leaving for California.

As they drive home, John tells Annie the president wants him to run for Ohio state senate seat, she then brings up being in public eye and he tells they don't have give up on NASA just yet. 

Rene arrives to her appointment with Butterfield, he offers her food/recipe column instead of one as real offer she tells him she wants to a real journals, he then tells her to write 20 articles.

Gordo tries to cheer Trudy up and takes her to the air field to fly; Louise readies to meet with Max; Gordo flies past the NASA offices; As Gordo exits the plane Trudy runs up and kisses him. 

At a bar, Rene arrives to meet with Butterfield, she gives him his 20 requested articles then tells him off and begins to march out of the bar when a busboy comes out with wrenching news.

Betty & Jo ask Marilyn to come the park; the Astrofamilies walk with their cookout equipment and setup; Rene cries by a tree; Annie tells John he has run for office; The Astrofamilies gather at park.

Marge continues the conversation about Max's move, he tells them that he's joining a progressive newspaper; Marge then gives Max advice on San Francisco as Louise awkwardly exits the conversation.
