Montage as Julia learns magic and begins practicing it in, ignoring all of her social commitments; Quentin arrives late to Dean Fogg's class, who reveals his new eyes.

After their magic discipline test, Alice tells Quentin she's been assigned to the physical house while Quentin is left undetermined.

Quentin and Alice arrive to the cottage the a party only to discover they need to figure out how to get into the cottage with physical magic.

Outside the cottage, Alice and Quentin brainstorm about how to get inside of the cottage.

Alice uses her magic to burn a hole in the door of the cottage; Quentin announces his and Alice's arrive due to use of her phosphomacy; Eliot welcomes Alice and Quentin with drinks.

Margo asks Eliot about his current obsession with Quentin; a drunk Alice tells Quentin that the spell they did should have worked, then Quentin suggests she try a locator spell instead.

At the cottage, Quentin mopes about Julia as he and Eliot drink; Someone knocks at the door which they ignore until Kady opens the door; Eliot pours Kady a drink.

Alice sings as part of the spell to bring back Charlie.
