Alex & Izzie fight over patient with brain tumor; Derek & Mark take off part of patient's face to take out the tumor.

George gets kid patient in scrubs to take him to see a surgery so he won't be afraid to have his own surgery; they walk in on "face off" patient and kid wants to stay & watch but George won't let him.

Izzie talks to a patient's wife; Izzie, Meredith and Cristina hangs out in dermatology department; Lexie and George find out he passed the intern exam.

Izzy and Alex talk at Joe’s, then Derek comes to tell them if they ever behave like that again he’ll have them thrown out of the program.

Ending: Derek and Meredith talk about having a space of their own which transitions to Meredith reading the journal at the trailer.

Cristina works on her patient; Izzie confronts Alex; Mr. Grandy's surgery begins.
