- SeetherVeruca Salt
Alice is going through her deceased mother's belongings, discovering items from 1999 and finding references to "James Huston." She's emotionally overwhelmed, coughing and expressing frustration that she "can't see her." The song's raw, intense energy about inner turmoil ("Can't fight the seether") perfectly mirrors Alice's psychological state as she uncovers disturbing family secrets and struggles with grief and confusion about her mother's past.
- Who Invited YouThe Donnas
The Donnas' rebellious track plays as Alice deals with social rejection and isolation. The song's defiant lyrics about not caring if others think you belong ("Who invited you?") soundtrack Alice's experience of being an outsider. She's confronting her status as unwelcome or unwanted in various situations, with the punk rock attitude amplifying her defensive stance against those who question her presence or legitimacy in spaces where she feels she doesn't belong.
