The Empire family gathers at the headquarters to honor Camilla at a wake.

Mirage a Trois preforms their opening act during the tour; Tiana complains to Becky about Lauren going over her time for the set, Becky assures her she'll speak with her.

Jamal and Hakeem head into the south of Chicago to meet with Freda. 

Jamal records in the studio when Freda arrives, he stops when sees her face and instantly knows that Lucious had dumped her as he and Hakeem told her he would; (repeats) Jamal records in the studio.

(Flashback) Lucious has a flashback of his mother singing to him during one of tranquil moments.

Jamal sings the sound to Freda then has her lay down a verse to get out her pain; Jamal & Freda records in the studio as Cookie & Hakeem watch; Cookie calls it a halt when she hear Freda fathers name.

Lucious video shoot begins when he freezes, Cookie calls the shoot to halt; After talking with Lucious and the actor playing him his the music video the video shoot continues.

Tiana performs at her concert, Hakeem watches from off stage.

Lucious tells Cookie he has a surprise for her, music begins to play and thinking its Stevie Wonder playing for her Cookie runs to the den and finds the family their who being singing to her.
