The radio comes on as Karl tries to start the van to make his getaway, just as Detective Cavanaugh appears in front of the van with the distributor cap & coil wires in his hand.  

Major opens his safe for Liv where she finds her old engagement ring, he admits he couldn't get rid of it; Rita/Gilda texts Major's phone Liv starts a text session which ends in tears for Liv.
