Dutch finally agrees to talk about with D'av about the kiss but only outside the Royale and with liquer; Zeph comes to Dutch about the Remnant neocortex which contains hidden memories of Khlyen, they head off to dive into them; D'av arrives with a a bottle only to find Dutch gone; John tells Pree he understands Louela's desire for revenge.

The song plays on a space elevator.

John tells Pree true vengance for Pawter death would require Delle Seyah to feel his pain; Aneela sits in a hallway surrounded by dead Hullen bodies; a pregnant Delle Seyah awakens.
