(Flashback to 1986) Kumu's husband and cousin are grilling.

Magnum and Higgins wonder who “The Willow” is and who he is going to kill now. Katsumoto calls; (repeats) Magnum and Higgins are trying to figure out the hitman's new target when Magnum's phone rings.

Everyone gathers in the dining room as an awesome local band plays on the stage. Kumu comes in and updates them; Higgins tells Magnum she might have to tell Ethan about her past.
