Nashville - Season 4, Episode 17: Soundtracks

Juliette performs; Luke talks with Nick about prompting Will as the new future for Country music.

Will calls Gunnar to tell him about The Exs song on the radio in Nashville; Scarlett walks away from Gunnar and the calls; Gunnar tells Will that Scarlett is mad at him, Will asks what he did.

Glenn tells Juliette about Avery's rejection of her offer on her jet and tour bus then tells her about Avery and Cadence on Layla's tour bus, Juliette asks if there is anything between the two.

Layla and Avery work on their new song together than kiss, Avery pulls back when he hears Cadence beginning to cry. 

The next morning, Avery joins Layla for breakfast, where she beings to confess her feeling for him but shoots her down by telling her that his life is complicated to pursue a relationship

Daphne practices performing solo when she beings to become frustrated and throws her guitar; (repeats) Maddie and Daphne perform together at the benefit at the Grand Ole Opry.  

Cash waits for her meetings when Rayna arrives and confronts her about Maddie.

Scarlett and Gunnar sing together in the elevator; Layla watches a video of herself and Avery singing together when he arrives and kisses her; Juliette texts arrives when Emily arrives with Cadence. 

Deacon consoles Daphne; Rayna performs onside as she worries about Maddie and Daphne, she holds back her own tears as she sees Daphne crying with Deacon; Maddie leaves the benefit with Cash.

Juliette performs on tour as Layla watches from back stage; Luke and his manager discuss how Juliette joining the tour has done and how Will is progressing.

Will calls Gunnar to tell him The Exes have a song on the radio, they compare schedules, then Will asks what Gunnar has down to tick off Scarlett.

Avery plays a new song mix for Layla, then she kisses him, but they're interrupted by Cadence's crying.

Rayna performs as Maddie walks off; Deacon tries to console Daphne; Rayna holds back tears as she sees Daphne crying back stage, then Maddie and Cash leaving the concert hall.
