Alan fixes the car as Louise watches when a van of hippies drive by they ask the couple if they need any help with the car, Louise refuses but Alan accepts there help.
Louise & Alan ride in the hippies van, Louise sits in the back with a couple making out much to her disgust while Alan sits up front the driver questions him about outer space.
After talking with a car garage on the phone Alan tells Louise that the car won't be able to be fixed until the next day and that they'll have say at the hippy compound which she doesn't like.
