Jake goes to Sammy's bar for a drink, there he asks Bill about Frank when Frank and the other workers rush into the bar; Frank comes over and introduces himself along with Calvin and Dickie.

Jake preaches Agee to Frank, Calvin and Dickie which goes over their heads; Jake offers Frank advice on marriage and divorces; Frank offers to help Jake with his first chapter of his book.

Frank, Dickie, Calvin drive Jake out to the meat packing plant.

Bill finds Jake and questions him about the news clipping from the future at gunpoint; End credits.

Jake works on his list in a candy shop with a young Harry comes in to collect his extra pair of shorts; Jake asks the shop keeper for place to stay in Holden.
